LifeHouse College 2016: Wisdom that Thinks, Knows and Does.

We are so glad that you are prayerfully considering taking your next step into LifeHouse College Ministry Internship 2016 – This step has the potential to change your life.

 

Given that the LC Internship was created to grow disciple-learners, that is – to empower disciples for global impact – much of the training has a practical orientation. We believe that the hottest forge and the hardest anvil will best shape your destiny in God. Though Bible knowledge is a key element, we believe there is far more to training than merely studying Scripture. Knowledge alone can be toxic as we are reminded in Paul’s letter to those whacky Corinthians, regarding a divisive issue of the day (i.e. food sacrificed to idols, but there’s heaps we could insert in our own day isn’t there) where we are warned  “…knowledge puffs up while love builds up. Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. But whoever loves God is known by God” (1 Cor 8:1b-3).

 

Thus our ultimate goal is to know, serve and love God more intimately. Not just to know the Bible of God, but to know the God of the Bible, and to live-out His plan. So everything we do at LC is aimed at leading you forward in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Another way of putting it is that authentic spiritual maturity comes about through ongoing transformation – of head and heart and hands. Training in each of these elements by itself is necessary but not sufficient, but together they form a powerful combination for the Interns and for the Kingdom of God!
